ABOUT THE EDITION
Lietuvos Rytas is the newspaper, established at 1990, which became the most popular national daily. Its circulation on weekdays is 61500 - 67000 copies and almost 167700 copies on Saturdays. According to polls, some 720000 people, or 26 percent of country's readers, read the Lietuvos Rytas everyday. Some 1100 people work for the Lietuvos Rytas, including 170 editors and journalists. The daily has 20 offices in Lithuania and 8 abroad. Lietuvos Rytas Group is the biggest media company in Baltic states. Lietuvos Rytas has been voted the most unbiased Lithuanian medium several times. Every week readers of Lietuvos Rytas get supplements of economics (Vartai), housing (Bustas), culture (Muzu Malunas), cars (Greitkelis), international news and politics (Rytai - Vakarai), sports (Sporto Arena), lifestyle (Gyvenimo Budas), medicine (Sveikatos Gidas) and weekend's events (Savaitgalis). Readers in Vilnius receive Sostine (Capital city). Readers also get four magazines with the daily: Krepsinis (Basketball) - on Tuesdays, MES (WE) - on Wednesdays, Stilius (Style) - on Fridays, TV Antena (TV antenna) - on Saturdays. The Lietuvos Rytas publishes several other magazines: monthly MM-Mes - moterys (We - womens) and Ekstra Panele (Extra Girl), weekly Ekstra (Extra), Moters Savaite (Woman's Week), TV Klubas (TV Club), monthly Kompiuterija, and daily newspapers in Kaunas (Laikinoji Sostine) and in Panevezys (Panevezio Rytas), as well. The daily and all of its supplements are printed in Lietuvos Rytas printing house - the largest in Baltic states. The Lietuvos Rytas daily sponsors a basketball club - which made it's way in Europe - BC Lietuvos Rytas. The daily is the general sponsor of Lithuanian National Olympic Committee, sponsors of international Vilnius Music Festival and Kaunas Jazz Festival. Lietuvos Rytas also has its own television.
